And the Moving Begins

And so the time had finally come for us to pack up and leave for the wide open spaces of RI.  Ok more like the closed forests of RI. Adam and my dad would travel through 11 states- totaling 2,343.6 miles of open road.  Apparently it is further to get to RI from Utah than to get to Guatemala where my sister is now serving her mission.  Who would have thought?  Fun fact.

Any way- we picked up the moving truck on Thursday the 26th early in the morning.  Adam started packing and few came to help during the day.  It was finally packed in ready for travel by 10 in the evening.  Our car was hitched to the back and they were ready to leave.  They left by 4:30 in the morning- starting their travel in the rain and they traveled in the rain the rest of the way.

Amazingly they made it safe and sound.  They traveled all day Friday and Saturday- staying in a hotel late Saturday night- arriving in the early afternoon to our new home.  Kingston, Rhode Island. Here are some pics of their travel and arrival.

Thank you to those who helped with the loading, Dad for the travel. and for the arrival.  Both my dad and Adam flew home days later for the arrival of our new son.
Some of our boxes in my parent's garage, the rest in storage.  Fun
The Lucky truck that would take us across country

 She LOVED the truck.

Dancing in the truck- they are so cute when they dance.
And below- me 8.9 months prego with 2 weeks to go... helping them load was not happening... I cleaned!
Loading the truck- we were REALLY tight and had to leave somethings behind- sad.  Didn't know that I had collected to much since being married- can't imagine how much we will
next time we move.

Our helpers in Rhode Island!! Thank you!!
