A Yee Haw Birthday Party Fun

Celebrated Gabby's 2nd!!!
Although we didn't have family around to celebrate with us, it was fun to see how much we are loved here.  I was amazed at how many came and how they were so genuine in their love for Gabby.  I am so grateful for each of them.  It made that party crazy fun.

The cow cake- so fun to make.  It had black spots inside too.  Fun.  Then you have Gabby and I before the party.

We had cold meat sandwiches, chips, fruit salad, and funfetti dip.... YUM

Ethan and his friend Owen (who is 6 weeks older..) They were entertainment for many there.

Playing Flying Eggs.  Really flying marshmellow war.

Then we have the Pig Eating Feast.  Donut Contest.  Gabby thought it was funny.  She would take small bites and then laugh at the ones around her.  She cracks me up.

This woman is AMAZING.  Her name is Teddy.  Gabby adores her.

Playing Giddy Up Trash.  They had to relay and gather trash (that we brought) then they had to make a farm animal out of it. It was fun to watch.

The party animal all worn out from the party!!

Late Nite Beach

One night this past week, we decided to go to the beach late and it was so much fun.  Strange, though, not to see the sunset over the water. So strange.  But it was a perfect evening to go.

Love to ReCreate!

Something that Adam and I have always loved to do is to redo old furniture.  Although Adam would rather leave it wood color like, he has learned to appreciate the color of furniture and the enjoyment that comes from painting and creating.  Also, it is so fun to do it together. Our latest piece came from some friends here who didn't want it.  It was missing a leg and was a dark brown. We have been needing a piece of furniture to hold our food since all we had for a pantry was a bookshelf that left the food open for Gabby to walk around and eat.  This piece was perfect for the job of a pantry.  So excited to have it and it turned out just beautiful.  Although it does mean that we will have to paint our kitchen chairs to go with, but that's ok- love to ReCreate and make our home a home!!!

 BEFORE
Sanding and Gabby being a BIG helper- right?

The two at work- and our other little helper, Mr. Caterpillar who was creepy looking crawling around our door frame.

AFTER.  Isn't it just beautiful?  I love it!
